The Village Clerk Treasurer's Department is responsible for the processing of employee payroll and benefits, cash disbursements and receipts, budgetary reporting and control systems and management of the official Village minutes, vital records and other documents. Their office is located on the first level of the Village Hall, located at 165 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.

Contact for information on the Village budget and fiscal reports, Trustees meeting agendas, Local Laws, public notices and civil service hiring procedures. Coordinates applications for Special Exception permits, Outdoor Dining permits, Outdoor Music permits, and requests for access to Public Documents. (FOIL) Responsible for the issuance of death/birth certificates and burial permits as Registrar of Vital Statistics. Coordinates grant applications and funding reimbursements from federal, state and county programs. Licensed Notary Public.

Contact for information on Village property taxes and assessments. Reviews senior, handicapped, and veterans tax exemptions applications and renewals. Administers the property tax liens program and provides information for the filing of Tax Grievances and Small Claims. Coordinates the rental of boat slips at the Village marina with the Dockmaster and maintains the boat slip waiting list. Contact for accounts payable, vendor billings and NYS Tax Exempt Certifications forms, employee payroll and retirement system reporting. Responsible for posting of cash receipts and disbursements and reconciling general ledger cash accounts to bank statements. Coordinates filing of Village insurance claims, preparation of purchase requisitions and compliance with Village procurement procedures. Sub-Registrar of Vital Statistics and Licensed Notary Public.

Contact for information on the Village's annual alarm permit program. Prepares monthly false alarm bills and receipt of payments. Updates the monthly calendar of Village meeting and events. Schedules the use of the Village Hall meeting rooms. Provides staff support to the Mayor, Board of Trustees, Village Beautifucation Committee and other appointed committees. Coordinates articles and photos for the Village Views Newsletter and Village website. Provides property tax information to the public.

Coordinates applications for the Use of Village Property/Facilities and Village billboards. Schedules weddings to be performed by the Mayor and Marriage Officer. Prepares marriage certificates, Official Proclamations and Certificates of Appreciation. Processes annual Sanitation Licenses, Street Opening Permits, and Towing Licenses. Provides secretarial support for Mayor, Trustees, Village Clerk and office staff. Sub-Registrar of Vital Statistics.
